David believes people buy products and services that reflect who they are today and who they aspire to be tomorrow. His background blends product management/marketing, international markets, and emerging technologies, and he built several “first of a kind” consumer experiences that are mainstream today. David manages Orange Silicon Valley’s corporate innovation program and holds an MBA from UC Berkeley.
Dachuan leads the Technology Group at Orange Silicon Valley as the VP of Technology. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Yale University. Prior to Orange Silicon Valley, Dachuan held research positions at DOCOMO USA Labs, a telecom R&D center. He is a winner of an ACM SIGPLAN Most Influential POPL Paper Award, judged by the paper's influence over a decade.
Business and technology groups
Wafa leads the cybersecurity sector at Orange Silicon Valley. She has a wide range of experience working on numerous projects including security strategy, threat investigations, vulnerability assessments, policy reviews, M&A cyber due diligence, and security awareness. Wafa holds a Masters’ degree in Information Security Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
Derek focuses on corporate venturing at Orange Silicon Valley. He works with Orange Silicon Valley’s domain experts to identify early-stage technology investment opportunities emerging from across North America. Previously Derek worked in investment banking focusing on middle market technology M&A. Derek has a Master of Engineering Management from Duke University, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from The University of Western Ontario in Canada.
Kevin is an analyst covering Industry 4.0 in Orange Silicon Valley’s Business Group. He investigates trends related to enhancements in connectivity between the physical world and the digital world and believes that future convergence of the physical and digital will create profound transformations in industry and society. Kevin’s professional background is a combination of Management Consulting, Equity Research, Program Management, and Engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science & Engineering from Stanford University.
John is Orange Silicon Valley's Subject Matter Expert on 5G and Emerging Wireless, focusing on spectrum and air interface aspects. He received his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from MIT. Prior to Orange Silicon Valley, John worked on network design tools at Ericsson.

Alexandra leads Consumer Internet & Home Services at Orange Silicon Valley. Building on extensive international experience, she made her career within the Orange Group and her most recent role was Director of Marketing at Orange’s venture capital arm, Orange Ventures. Alexandra joined the company via the Orange Graduate Program in 2010, holds a degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Malta, and a master’s degree in International Management from Bocconi.
John leads blockchain technology, decentralized applications, and cryptocurrency for Orange Silicon Valley. His previous project areas have included security, encryption, fintech, and enterprise software. John received his SM and SB degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT. Prior to joining Orange Silicon Valley, John built products at technology startups and held software and hardware design roles at Silicon Graphics.
Thomas is a Subject Matter Expert in AI/ML with 4 years of experience within the Orange Group and Orange Silicon Valley, his work focuses on innovative advertising and marketing technologies, as well as building first-of-a-kind data products and bringing efficiency to many business use-cases through data science, data engineering and data architecture. He has been working on delivering customer insights for different organizations using the latest advances in Machine Learning and data science software. His areas of expertise include mobile app marketing, content and media and other subscription services. He has recently been working on the intersection of networks operations and AI.
Katy is Orange Silicon Valley's US telecommunications sector expert, tracking trends and disruptive technology in the space. As the telecoms analyst, she explores topics including the rollout of next-generation 5G networks by the incumbent carriers, the role of non-telcos in the connectivity market, and the evolving market for over-the-top entertainment services. Prior to Orange Silicon Valley, Katy worked as a reporter and editor at Connectivity Business, Mergermarket, and Reuters. She received her master’s in journalism from Northwestern University and did her undergraduate studies in communications and political science at UCLA.
Senthil is Orange Silicon Valley’s subject matter expert on virtualization, cloud computing, edge and telco cloud. He received his bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Chennai University in India. Prior to Orange Silicon Valley, Senthil worked as a database administrator in a startup called Katmango in San Francisco.
Wilson is an open-minded engineer who is obsessed with applying engineering mindset in business innovation. He enjoys solving business challenges leveraging outside-the-box thinking and breakthrough technologies. As the future of work council lead at Orange Silicon Valley, he is committed to make the future of work more productive and enjoyable for humans.
James believes that Next Reality = AR/VR/XR + AI + 5G + IoT + Blockchain + Spatial & Edge Computing which enable massive opportunities in the new computing era, through innovation and co-innovation. As an innovator and strategist with 15+ years of experience in the tech industry, his professional background blends research and development, corporate strategy and innovation, patents, technology & startup scouting/audit/integration, go-to-market strategy, due diligence & investment advisory, high performance computing & cloud architecture, GPU & virtualization technology, mobile/wearable/web technology, and emerging technologies such as AR/VR/XR, AI, robotics and edge compute, and he has lead the development of several “first-of-a-kind” consumer and business experiences & POCs including virtual set-top box, highly-scalable edge cluster, immersive VR training, Cloud XR streaming that are mainstream today. James has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from UCLA with a business economics minor.
Sarah believes that consumers should be able to purchase the products they want in the language of their choice. Her professional background blends NLP (Natural Language Processing) engineering and product architecture, responsible AI, conversational AI, emerging machine translation technologies for under resourced languages, and she built several “first-of-a-kind” NLP solutions including automated email and text response experiences that are mainstream today. She leads efforts at Orange Silicon Valley in NLP and Responsible AI. Dr. Luger received her BS from Swarthmore College and both a Master of Science and PhD in Informatics from University of Edinburgh in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Manoj is currently leading activities in Edge Compute, vRAN, and 5G in Orange Silicon Valley. Previously, he worked on probes for mobile core, Virtualization of 4G, Seamless roaming between 4G and Wi-Fi, VoLTE, Toll-Free service for carriers, Real time video traffic optimization in mobile core, Layer 2 Architecture in access for residential customers, and Residential Gateway design. He has led many PoCs and Live Trials. He is also involved in RFPs for vendor selection. Prior to joining Orange Silicon Valley, he worked for Tachion Networks, Nortel Networks, and Iridium. He brings unique value to the company by identifying the next technology for the carriers to focus on. Manoj has a master’s in Telecommunication from California State University and a bachelor’s in Computer Science from India.
Soumik leads the activities around HPC, Video Analytics and Accelerated Computing for AI in Datacenters and Edge at Orange Silicon Valley. He brings extensive experience in Supercomputing platforms (terrestrial and air/spaceborne), high broadband networks, GPU Computing for HPC. His 19-year career spans companies such as Cisco, AT&T. He is also serving in the role of Technical Advisor for a few Orange portfolio companies. He holds a Master of Sciences in Computer Engineering from University of South Carolina, and a Bachelor of Engineering, Electronics, and Telecommunications from Jadavpur University, India.
Arpan leads the Smart Ecosystems/Smart Cities portfolio at Orange Silicon Valley. He believes that cities hold the key to sustainable technological development, innovation, and the future of humanity. His professional background includes software development, technical product management, and early-stage (VC and angel) investments. Passionate about people and the planet, he holds an MBA from UC Berkeley.
Bertrand works on cellular networks (4G/5G), network virtualization, software-defined networking, mobile edge computing, and AI/ML for network operations at Orange Silicon Valley. He received his master’s degree in Computer Science from HEI in France. Prior to Orange Silicon Valley, Bertrand held network engineering positions at Nokia, IBM, Cisco, as well as a technology startup. He is in charge of identifying emerging network technologies and startups in the Silicon Valley ecosystem, conducting product evaluations, developing Proof of Concepts, and providing technical recommendations for the company.
